On December 10, the President of the Bremen Parliament, Frank Imhoff, accepted the invitation to visit the Bremen Cotton Exchange. The President of the Bremen Cotton Exchange Stephanie Silber and Vice President Fritz Grobien guided the interested guest through the listed ‘Kontorhaus’ (ancient office building) from 1902. In the heart of the building, the laboratory and arbitration rooms, Imhoff was given an insight into cotton quality testing and other aspects of international trade with the natural fibre cotton. The presidents also discussed current and historical economic conditions for trade via the Hanseatic city of Bremen.
