Bremen, September 2019. Cotton is one of the most important raw materials for the global textile industry. Cotton is renewable and biodegradable. Cotton is not only a textile, but primarily agriculture. It connects people, governments and countries and is grown in almost 80 nations around the world. Thus, it provides subsistence and a livelihood for between 200 and 250 million people around the world.
