28. April 2014 / Pakistan – 5% Import Duty on Cotton Yarn

The government of Pakistan has imposed a 5% customs duty on imports of cotton yarn in an attempt to support domestic industries. This decision was taken by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet at a meeting held last week with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.
