Last week the Cotton Corporation of India announced the auction of cotton bought under MSP program and mainly offered cotton of south origin.
India is the world’s second-biggest producer as well as consumer of cotton.

The government´s decision to sell the fibre in the domestic market when neighbouring China is going slow on imports could put further downward pressure on global prices.
