Cooperation with the with the Akademie für Textilveredlung (Academy on Textile Finishing) and the Faserinstitut Bremen (FIBRE)
For the first time, the Bremen Cotton Exchange and the Faserinstitut Bremen (FIBRE) offer a one-day-seminar on November 20th, 2019 in Bremen collaborating with the Akademie für Textilveredlung (Academy on Textile Finishing) as well as the trade fair PromoTex Expo. The shared aim is to impart sound basic and expert knowledge on the raw material cotton to the market participants of promotional items, corporate fashion, workwear, textile accessories and other textile niche areas.
The three speakers Karsten Fröse and Elke Hortmeyer (both Bremen Cotton Exchange) as well as Axel Drieling of FIBRE will induct into the world of cotton trade and the raw material itself. They will explain the various types of cotton qualities, how cotton is tested and how the cotton trade works. Additionally, the seminar participants will learn about different fibers, the sustainability of cotton, cotton processing and the future of the fiber market. The event will enable further training, exchange and discussion. Moreover, the Bremen Cotton Exchange will allow gaining insight into the laboratory as well as the arbitration and classing rooms. The online platform Signforum 24 is another cooperation partner. The seminar will be held in German.
Regular’s table in Bremen:
On the eve of November 20th, the three Düsseldorf trade fairs PromoTex Expo, viscom and PSI invite to a free-of-charge regular’s table in Bremen, starting at 6 p.m. in the Bremen Ratskeller.
