20. May 2020 / Cotton Protects – Face Masks from the Bremen Cotton Exchange

The Bremen Cotton Exchange has provided its employees as well as its lessees of office spaces in the Cotton Exchange building with face masks for health protection – made of cotton at GOTS standard of course. By offering masks, the Bremen Cotton Exchange wants to contribute to battling the pandemic and to support steps towards a piece of normality. 1,500 masks were produced and provided free of charge to employees and lessees by the association.

For this purpose, the Bremen Cotton Exchange had made use of its excellent networking with the German textile industry. The cloth came from the weaving mill Velener Textil, a company that has been a member of the Bremen Cotton Exchange and playing an active part in this regard for long. Currently, its Managing Director Ernst Grimmelt is Vice President of the Bremen Cotton Exchange. A young company from Cologne produced the face masks by order of the Bremen Cotton Exchange. The mission met extraordinary positive feedback.
