At the end of November, students of the course of study “Public History” visited the archive of the Bremen Cotton Exchange. Within the framework of a seminar at the University of Bremen, the prospective historians and archivists gathered information in different archives in Bremen, amongst others the public record office of Bremen and the media archive of Radio Bremen.

In this context, the archive of the Bremen Cotton Exchange served as example for an industry archive. The archivist of the Bremen Cotton Exchange, Theresa Knapstein, explained the students and the lecturer Dr Thekla Keuck the working method in the archive of the more than 150-year-old association.
