From 3 to 19 January 2025, Bremen’s city centre will once again be illuminated by impressive light installations. Every day from 16:30 to 21:30, the facades of numerous buildings will shine in bright colours and bring light into the dark season with image and video projections.
This year’s motto is ‘Four Seasons’. Visitors can look forward to a magical atmosphere when the light artworks are presented at well-known locations such as the Cotton Exchange, Bremen Cathedral and the Town Hall. A particular eye-catcher is the Cotton Exchange on the market square, which, with its historic façade and artistic light installations, has a permanent place in this year’s Festival of Lights.
New highlights in 2025 include the Wallkontor, which will be part of the light installations for the first time, and the ‘Made in Bremen’ house, which will delight visitors with changing projections by Bremen artists. Another highlight is the 3D video show at Schoppensteel, which uses innovative hologram technology to offer an extraordinary light experience.
The event is organised by the City Initiative and offers a unique opportunity to experience Bremen’s city centre in a new light. Further information on the ‘Lights of the City’ can be found on the City Initiative website.
